The owner of Space NK has launched a formal sales process which could see the cosmetics retailer change hands for between £300m and £400m.

Manzanita Capital, a private investment firm, has reportedly been in touch with prospective bidders regarding a sale of the business, according to Sky News.

The firm had previously appointed bankers at Raymon James to oversee a sale of Space NK in April 2024.

Manzanita – which has owned the retailer for more than 20 years – had also previously explored a sale of Space NK through Goldman Sachs in 2018, however opted not to go ahead with a sale.

Founded in 1993, Space NK trades from over 80 stores in the UK. Earlier this year, the retailer said it would be opening three stores in 2025, located in Bluewater Shopping CentreChelmsford, and Highcross Leicester.
