St John’s Solihull hotel handed £25m price tag
The Voco St John’s Solihull hotel has been placed on the market with a £25m price tag.
The hotel is being sold freehold by Colliers Hotels Capital Markets on behalf of CL Capital Global, and is available unencumbered from management.
St John’s Solihull – which has recently undergone a refurbishment and branding – comprises 201 beds, as well as a health and leisure club with a gym, pool, and spa facilities.
The hotel also features a 30-cover bar and 120-cover brasserie, as well as 13 meeting rooms including the 700-capacity Park Suite. It is also licensed to host civil wedding and civil partnership ceremonies.
Kit Abram, associate director in the hotel capital markets team at Colliers, said: “The Voco St John’s hotel presents a fantastic prospect for an investor; whilst it has been recently refurbished there are also significant asset management opportunities.
“This includes making the building more energy efficient or a re-instatement of the previous planning permission to add an additional 88 bedrooms. We expect there to be a high-level interest in the hotel, with it offering RevPAR (revenue per available room) growth opportunities when compared to its local competition.”
