Superdry eyes 15 new UK stores
Superdry is looking to open 15 new stores across the UK, while also targeting European expansion.
Speaking to Drapers, Superdry CEO Julian Dunkerton said that the fashion retailer was eyeing new locations in cities such as Bath, Dundee, Lincoln, and Norwich.
This comes as Dunkerton, who co-founded the retailer, looks to reverse its fortunes after a period of tough sales.
Superdry delisted from the London Stock Exchange in April last year before implementing a restructuring plan which was approved in June 2024. Under the terms of the plan, the retailer would slash rents on 36 of its 94 UK stores and close 47.
The retailer also underwent a rebrand earlier this year, renaming to ‘Superdry & Co’. Superdry’s Oxford Street flagship, along with its stores in Nottingham and Dundee, have been refitted to follow the retailer’s new aesthetic.
