Swedish outdoor brand picks Covent Garden for second UK store

Swedish outdoor brand Thule has opened its second store in the UK at Covent Garden’s Seven Dials neighbourhood.

The brand’s 2,100 sq ft store at 72 Neal Street offers accessories such as roof racks, bike racks, car seats, pushchairs, luggage, backpacks, and bike bags.

Thule joins Covent Garden’s roster of outdoor and performance-focused stores, such as Finisterre, Peak Performance, Arc’teryx, and Snow & Rock.

Johan Lindell, store operations manager at Thule, said: “For more than 80 years we’ve been committed to helping our customers enjoy the outdoors, developing smart, stylish products that are not only high-quality but environmentally sound and easy to use. The next step was for us to expand our physical retail presence, and Covent Garden’s Seven Dials, where the world’s leading brands sit alongside highly specialist stores, is the perfect home.”

The launch of Thule’s second UK store in Covent Garden follows the opening of British luxury brand Sunspel on Floral Street, and the recent announcement that performance footwear brand Saucony and Swiss watchmaker Swatch have signed for two new spaces on James Street.

Shaftesbury Capital is the landlord of 72 Neal Street.
