The Corn Exchange Manchester welcomes new centre manager
The Corn Exchange in Manchester has announced the appointment of Dave Pearman as centre manager.
Having worked most of his career across the North West of England and Wales, Pearman has 26 years of experience within the retail and property sectors. He has previously held roles managing shopping centres, offices, and commercial spaces.
Most recently, Pearman joined Cushman & Wakefield, where he will now lead the Corn Exchange into 2025 as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Boasting Edwardian architecture which includes an iconic glass dome that dates back to the 1900s, the Corn Exchange was repurposed in 2015 into a food and beverage and entertainment hub. It is now home to 14 restaurants including Banyan Bar & Kitchen, The Cosy Club, Delhi House Café, Garter Bar, Mowgli, Pho, Pizza Express, The Real Greek, Riva Blu, Salvi’s, Tampopo, Vapiano and Zizzi. It is also home to leisure concepts such as Sixes Social Cricket and Escape Hunt, as well as a 114-bed Roomzzz Aparthotel.
Dave Pearman said: “I’m extremely excited to take the reins at Manchester’s Corn Exchange. Manchester is a city close to my heart, filled with rich history, culture and diversity and one that is constantly moving forward. Despite wider UK economy challenges, Corn Exchange continues to be an incredibly popular city centre destination with both footfall and sales up again this year, with some operators recording their best annual trading to date. I’m very much looking forward to building on this success especially as we head into a milestone year for the scheme which will see us host a series of events and activities to celebrate its ten year anniversary. For now however, we’re in full festive mode welcoming customers over the busy Christmas period!”
