The Portman Estate enhances health, wellness, and dining offer with trio of signings
The Portman Estate has expanded its health, wellness, and dining offer with three new signings at its West End portfolio in London.
NVS Pharmacy, a neighbourhood amenity, will relocated to and expand at 16 Baker Street, taking on a 4,500 sq ft unit. In this new space, the family-run business will provide NHS and private healthcare wellness services, including physiotherapy, counselling, and acupuncture, while also offering healthcare and beauty products.
Meanwhile, Holland & Barrett will be opening a new store at 146-148 Edgware Road in March. The 1,421 sq ft will offer a range of health and wellness products, including from leading brands and Holland & Barrett’s own food and sports ranges.
Completing the trio is Afrikana, which will open its West End flagship restaurant at 112 Edgware Road. Launched in 2018 by City Restaurants Group, Afrikana offers peri chicken and African-inspired flavours and sauces to restaurant across the UK. The 2,700 sq ft, 98-cover space will include an alfresco terrace and serve flame-grilled chicken, sharing platters, burgers, plant-based options, and a fully halal menu.
Puja Dowlani, retail associate director at The Portman Estate, said: “These new signings reflect our ongoing commitment to delivering a diverse mix of wellness and dining experiences for our neighbourhood. We are proud to support both long-standing independent businesses and leading international brands as they grow and thrive on the Estate.”
Tom Knight, portfolio director at The Portman Estate, added: “Each of these new arrivals represents a conscious investment in the long‑term vitality of Marylebone. As the neighbourhood continues to evolve, we’re focused on creating spaces where businesses can thrive, innovate and contribute meaningfully to the area’s character. We look forward to seeing them play an important role in the Estate’s next chapter.”
