Trafford Centre launches new dining destination for local cuisine

The Trafford Centre in Manchester has unveiled a new dining destination, called Eastern Garden, designed to champion Mancunian talent.
The new area – previously referred to as Chinatown – is designed to reflect a blend of traditional and contemporary Asian aesthetics.
Eastern Garden features a line-up of independent operators including:
- Nichi, a 3,000 sq ft Japanese concept which opened in late 2024
- Hello Oriental, a Mancunian street food hall which opened its first Manchester restaurant off Oxford Road
- Chit ‘n’ Chaat, an 2,000 sq ft Indian street food concept which opened its fifth restaurant in the Greater Manchester region at Trafford Centre
- Blanchflower Coffee and Bakery, which will offer bread, cakes, and pastries when it opens in the coming weeks.
Kitty Vaughan, head of F&B and leisure leasing at Pradera Lateral, said: “At Trafford Centre, we are committed to offering our visitors an exciting and diverse food and beverage experience that celebrates our global customers and champions homegrown talent.
“Eastern Garden not only enjoys a wide array of unique and authentic flavours but also represents the vibrant and dynamic culinary scene of Manchester. This initiative is a significant step in our ongoing investment to diversify the exciting culinary offering at Trafford Centre.”
