Trafford Centre reshuffles leadership team
The Trafford Centre in Manchester reshuffled its leadership team with the appointment of Kate Thursfield as operations director.
She will look to work closely with the scheme’s newly-appointed centre director Simon Layton and the wider leadership team to support future growth.
Thursfield previously ran her own retail consultancy, and has also held roles at Capital & Regional, where she spent 18 years overseeing national operations and guest experiences for shopping centres, and at House of Fraser, taking the position of head of compliance.
The Manchester shopping centre has also promoted Gemma Ward to the position of head of marketing. Formerly marketing manager, she joined the scheme earlier this year and has previously held roles including associate director at Shoppertainment management and marketing manager at Dubai’s lbn Battuta Mall.
Kate Thursfield said: “I am looking forward to bringing my retail expertise to Trafford, a place I have loved and shopped for many years.
