Trailberg to open debut store at Manchester Arndale

11th June 2024 | Jack Oliver

Clothing brand Trailberg is set to open its first permanent store in the UK at Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre, after signing a five-year lease for a 1,300 sq ft unit.

The outdoor clothing brand will be located in the former Cruyff unit on the lower mall and offer the brand’s range of tracksuits, twinsets, windbreakers, hoods, quarter zips, and shorts.

Until now, Trailberg’s products have mainly been available online or through partnerships with other retailers.

Trailberg becomes the latest brand to select Manchester Arndale as the location for one of its first stores, and its signing follows the arrivals of French Connection, North Face, Dune, and MOSS at the scheme over the past 12 months.

Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, said: “We always enjoy working with new and innovative businesses, so it is great to see Trailberg select Manchester Arndale for its first store. Trailberg has become a popular UK brand, especially in the North West, and we expect their new store to become popular with our shoppers.

“Having a strong mix of brands is vital to maintaining a popular retail destination. Not only does it help to attract strong footfall, but it also encourages interest from both international and local brands keen to benefit from the centre’s reputation as the go-to shopping destination for the North West. As a result, we are close to agreeing further leases with several big name brands which will take the centre closer to full occupancy.”

M&G Real Estate and Global Mutual act as joint asset managers of Manchester Arndale and New Cathedral Street, whilst Metis Real Estate and Time Retail Partners are the centre’s retained letting agents with Green & Partners retained as lease advisory agents.
