Asset manager Sovereign Centros has secured four new restaurant operators at the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow.

American chicken restaurant Wingstop will be making its debut in the city this autumn, taking a 3,175 sq ft unit in the centre’s leisure hub on a 15-year lease.

Pan-Asian restaurant Wagamama will join Wingstop, taking a 15-year deal with a break option after 10 years for a 4,615 sq ft restaurant, set to open next spring.

Created out of a former BHS store, St Enoch’s £50m leisure hub is home to a nine-screen Vue Cinema and five other restaurant units, only one of which is still available. Other food and beverage operators at the hub include Cosmo, Namaste by Delhi Darbar, Nandos, and Philly Steaks ‘N’ Shakes.

Elsewhere at St Enoch, German doner kebab and chicken restaurant YaYa’s will open on the first floor this autumn, whilst Asian eatery Salt and Pepper will open on St Enoch Square.

Meanwhile, Starbucks has upsized to a larger 2,763 sq ft unit within the scheme.

Mike Egerton, senior asset manager at Sovereign Centros, said: “These new restaurants significantly broaden our food and beverage offer at St. Enoch and complement the Vue cinema and other leisure experiences that are available for all age groups.”

Tom Grogan, co-founder of Wingstop UK, said St Enoch was a location the chain had had its eyes on “for some time”.
