Wood-fired restaurant concept debuts at Soho’s Kingly Court

Wood-fired restaurant concept Goldies has opened its debut site within Shaftesbury Capital’s Kingly Court in Soho.

Created by the team behind the local bistro Blanchette, the 1,100 sq ft restaurant sits in a location to cater to both Carnaby Street shoppers as well as those making a trip to Kingly Court.

With a focus on wood-fired cooking, the restaurant – which offers a total of 44 covers inside and 25 outside – utilises kitchen counter seating complemented by a classic bistro style throughout.

The menu offers a range of small and large plates, with highlights including a merguez scotch egg with harissa mayonnaise, marinated baby chicken with smoked yoghurt, and grilled wild mushrooms, baby leek, and a confit egg yolk.

Maxime and Yannis Alary, co-founders of Goldies, said: “After spending a decade in the West End, it’s a special moment for us to open our new concept, Goldies. This key anchor unit on Kingly Court’s ground floor means we will benefit from the dedicated visitors to the foodie heart of Soho, as well as shoppers on Carnaby Street seeking high quality dining as part of their experience. We have carefully curated every detail of the Goldies experience, from the food to the ambiance, and we cannot wait to share it with the visitors who make this area so vibrant. We hope to make Goldies a must-visit destination, like so many of our neighbours who call Kingly Court home.”

Goldies joins a range of other eateries within Kingly Court, which has a unique tenant mix featuring 10 independent concepts – including Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, modern Filipino restaurant Donia, Peruvian hub Señor Ceviche, and late-night cocktail venues Cahoots and Disrepute.
