XSite Braehead receives £12.6m of investment

XSite Braehead in Glasgow has announced a combined £12.6m investment into the entertainment destination, drawn from a combination of tenant and owner contributions.
This includes the opening of e-karting track and e-sports venue, K1 Speed, within the Scottish centre later this year.
Also investing into the centre is Tenpin, which has introduced four new bowling areas, two private karaoke rooms, and a complete makeover of the bar area.
Tenpin’s refurbishment will be followed by a significant overhaul from Paradise Island Golf, which will introduce a high ropes course. Family entertainment centre Funstation will also be expanding at the scheme.
These investments come off the back of a successful 2024 for XSite Braehead, which welcomed 2.1 million people throughout the year. The fourth quarter in particular was particularly successful, with November footfall up by 10.4% year-on-year and December footfall up 14.5% compared to the previous month.
Kitty Vaughan, head of UK leisure and F&B at Pradera Lateral, asset manager of XSite, said: “2025 is a landmark year for XSite Braehead with the introduction of new tenants, and significant enhancements to the already popular existing attractions. This large scale, unprecedented investment highlights XSite Braehead’s ongoing commitment to evolving and enhancing the visitor experience and with this we are setting the centre up for an extended period of exceptional growth.”
