Deichmann opens at the Ashley Centre

European footwear retailer Deichmann has launched at Epsom’s Ashley Centre, following a £400,000 investment.

Opening in a 3,498 sq ft former Sports Direct unit, Deichmann’s Epsom store sits opposite Pandora, WHSmith, and Hotel Chocolat.

The store stocks the retailer’s full range of men’s, women’s, and children’s footwear, as well as exclusive lines from brands including Adidas, Fila, Nike, and Skechers.

Deichmann’s collaborative range, with ties to celebrities such as Ellie Goulding, Halle Berry, and Rita Ora, will also be in store.

Louisa Butters, head of retail asset management UK at CBRE Investment Management, which manages the Ashley Centre, said: “We are continuing to deliver our long-term strategy to provide a broader offer, with the likes of JD and GAIL’s selecting the Ashley Centre, as well as welcoming one of the largest footwear retailers in Europe.”

Deichmann’s launch follows the recent news that JD Sports will be opening at the Epsom scheme, opening adjacent to Monsoon, Next, and the soon-to-open GAIL’s café. The new retailers join as part of CBRE’s £5m centre refurbishment.
