Tapas restaurant debuts in Central London neighbourhood
Ukrainian-born Spanish concept Boca a Boca – a Spanish idiom meaning ‘word of mouth’ – is set to establish its first UK store in Fitzrovia, Central London.
Located at 18 Charlotte Street, Fitzrovia, the 1,500 sq ft restaurant accommodates up to 66 diners, featuring a bar, retail area, and jamoneria.
The restaurant replaces Ampeli, which occupied the site since 2020, and joins other eateries like Carousel, The Ninth, and Lisboeta in the neighborhood.
Boca a Boca was created by Ukrainian entrepreneur Andrii Nikonov who opened the first restaurant in Kyiv in February 2022, aiming to fill a Mediterranean cuisine gap in Ukraine.
Andrii Nikonov, Boca a Boca’s CEO, expressed excitement about joining Fitzrovia’s dining scene, offering a unique combination of Spanish inspiration with Ukrainian hospitality.
Andrii Nikonov, CEO of Boca a Boca, said: “Fitzrovia is brilliantly connected and very popular with residents, workers, students and tourists; we see our target customers here every time we visit the neighbourhood.”
“Boca a Boca takes inspiration from Spain, but our business has Ukrainian hospitality at its heart, so it’s exciting to be able to show Londoners a combination they won’t have come across before.”
