BOXPARK Liverpool launch delayed until next year
The launch of BOXPARK’s first location outside of London has been delayed until early 2024.
BOXPARK at Cains Brewery Village in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle was originally set to open in autumn 2023, but is now expected to launch next spring.
No reason has been given for the delay.
The 21,000 sq ft venue is set to deliver 150 units and aims to drive one million people to the venue annually, after Liverpool City Council unanimously agreed planning permission for the £3.5m project in January.
The historic Canning Hall will see a transformation into a food hall and events space with a large internal space with units spanning the ground floor, an internal mezzanine, and an external terrace.
The delay comes after BOXPARK called for prospective tenants to apply for a place at the Liverpool venue.
Founded in 2011, BOXPARK opened its first pop-up mall in Shoreditch before opening in Croydon and Wembley. It provides a food, culture and social hub and has hosted events such as live music and fan parks for live sporting events.
