M Core acquires North Worcestershire retail park for £3m

M Core has acquired Tannery Retail Park in Stourport-on-Severn, North Worcestershire, from property investment and development company Goold Estates for circa £3m. The fully-let retail scheme, located on a 2.1-acre site on the corner of Tan Lane and Lombard Street, extends to 28,800 sq ft and is anchored by B&M. Other retailers at the scheme include Angling Direct, St Richard’s Hospice Foundation, and InStore Pharmacy. The retail park is based on the site of the former Midcounties Co-operative site, which Goold Estates acquired in 2024 before investing over £1m into the strip-out, subdivision, and refurbishment of the existing store. The development created a multi-let retail scheme comprising four units, ranging in size from 1,859 sq ft to 18,889 sq ft, with new shopfronts, signage, LED lighting, and a bike shelter. Existing amenities have been retained and enhanced, including a 145-space customer car park. The estate was renamed Tannery Retail Park as a nod to the historic Stourport tannery that occupied the site between 1702 and 1964. Italian pasta restaurant makes West End debut on Soho’s Kingly Street

Italian pasta restaurant Padella has opened its first location in London’s West End at 2 Kingly Street in Soho. The concept – founded by hospitality duo Jordan Frieda and chef Tim Siadatan – has taken a two-storey, 2,300 sq ft unit with space for 80 covers. Known for its contemporary small-plates approach, Padella offers signature dishes including pici cacio e pepe and beef shin ragu, catering to both quick visits or more relaxed occasions. Cornish Bakery to open first bakery in Wales

Cornish Bakery is set to open its first bakery in Wales this week at Station Approach in Betws-y-Coed, Conwy, North Wales. The store will feature the brand’s latest concept, RISE by Cornish Bakery, which is being rolled out across larger properties in key areas across the UK. Spanning 2,500 sq ft, the new store – which is located at the entrance to Eryri National Park – seats up to 166 guests, inside and outside. The concept looks to expand on traditional coffee and bakery offerings to include small plates designed for breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon/early evening dining. Miami taco chain to open first London location

Miami-based taco chain Coyo Taco is set to open its first location in London at Orchard Place, SW1. This follows Kuvi Hospitality securing franchise and development rights for the brand across the UK, Ireland, and the GCC, with plans underway to scale the business to over 50 locations this side of the Atlantic. The debut London restaurant will launch this summer, with two further locations in the UK planned before the end of the year. Orchard Place is a new mixed-use development with strong footfall, affluent local residents, and all-day trading potential, supported by its proximity to Victoria, Whitehall and key tourist destinations. Founded in Miami’s Wynwood district in 2016, Coyo Taco has built a strong following across the US and international markets. New Zealand’s Rodd & Gunn picks Cribbs Mall for one of first UK shopping centre stores

New Zealand-based menswear brand Rodd & Gunn is set to open one of its first stores in a UK shopping centre at Cribbs Mall in Bristol. The expanding brand previously operated a concession within John Lewis at Cribbs Mall, but has now committed to taking a 2,563 sq ft standalone store. The store will offer a range of traditionally tailored shirts, knitwear, trousers and jeans, polo shirts, Italian leather shoes, leather luggage, and accessories. Rodd & Gunn’s arrival comes as Cribbs’ fashion retailers reported a 4.5% growth in turnover during 2025, and follows the recent arrivals of AllSaints and Animal at the shopping centre. Cribbs has also confirmed that global pop culture brand MINISO will be bringing its range of products including trending plush collectibles, blind boxes, plush toys, beauty products, accessories, and snacks to the scheme. Inditex picks Metrocentre for one of three debut Lefties stores

Metrocentre in Gateshead is set to welcome Inditex’s Lefties brand for one of its first three stores in the UK. Set to occupy a central unit at the interchange between Red and Green Mall on Town Square, the store will stock a range of collections for women, men, teen girls, kids, babies and newborns, as well as footwear, home, and accessories. Set to open in the winter of 2026, the Metrocentre store will be Lefties’ first in the North East, as the brand makes its entrance into the UK market. Crew Clothing is set to open its first store in County Durham in Barnard Castle. The 750 sq ft store, located at 24 Market Place, will open in May and offer a range of collections for men, women, and children, including rugby shirts, polos, Oxford shirts, printed dresses, and knitwear. Founded in the back of a windsurfing shop in Salcombe in 1993, Crew Clothing has aimed to build on its connection to the coast, with its range of clothing looking to champion British sport. Wingstop opens fifth restaurant in Essex in Harlow

Wingstop has opened its fifth restaurant in Essex at The Water Gardens in Harlow. The fried chicken restaurant chain has opened a 3,024 sq ft space at the open-air shopping centre, which can host up to 75 covers. The restaurant will offer a range of wings, tenders, burgers, and sides, as well as milkshakes, churros, and beers. Wingstop Harlow joins the brand’s existing Essex restaurants in Chelmsford, Basildon, Lakeside, and Southend. Wingstop currently occupies 92 sites across the UK and Ireland, with plans to grow to up to 200 sites over the next five years. New York-based luxury duo choose Mayfair’s Mount Street for European debuts

New York-based independent luxury brands Foundrae and Adam Lippes are set to open their debut European stores on Grosvenor’s Mount Street in Mayfair, London. Foundrae – a fine jewellery brand that’s attracted a following that includes Taylor Swift and Cynthia Erivo – will open its first standalone European flagship in July 2026, taking 2,300 sq ft at 119 Mount Street. Adam Lippes, the American designer renowned for tailoring and sportswear, will open in June with a 2,100 sq. ft store at 9 Mount Street. Both brands join a mix of luxury names on Mount Street, including Jessica McCormack, Simone Rocha, Toteme, Moynat, Oscar de la Renta, Rubinacci, Valextra, and Marchesi 1824 – the Milanese patisserie owned by Prada which chose the location for its first store outside Italy. Space NK opens at Harlequin Watford

Space NK has opened the doors to its new store at Harlequin Watford. The cosmetics retailer has taken a 10-year lease for a 3,432 sq ft store, which features the brand’s latest store concept. The store offers a range of makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance products from a number of global brands, such as Drunk Elephant, Rare Beauty, Olaplex and Charlotte Tilbury. Space NK joins a line-up of beauty and wellness brands at Harlequin Watford which includes the likes of Boots, Lush, MAC, Superdrug, Rituals, and The Fragrance Shop. Manchester Arndale to welcome relocated Neal’s Yard Remedies store

Neal’s Yard Remedies is set to open a new store at Manchester Arndale shopping centre after agreeing a 10-year lease for a 873 sq ft unit. The wellbeing brand will relocate from its existing Manchester store on King Street, taking over the current Claire’s store. At its new store, Neal’s Yard Remedies – which was founded in 1981 in London’s Covent Garden – will offer a range of skincare, bath and body products, essential oils, herbal remedies, beauty and wellness gifts. The instruction covers a range of assets including a freehold interest in Gresham Street near St Paul’s, retail units on West Smithfield close to the historic market, and 25–27 Hosier Lane in Farringdon, a 20,000 sq ft office building currently undergoing a refurbishment. The portfolio hosts a diverse retail mix, including a nursery and premium food operators, alongside modern office accommodation in a prime Smithfield location. Under the appointment, MAPP will look to deliver a high-end, best value holistic suite of property management services focused on optimising asset and commercial performance, operational efficiency, and occupier experience.
