Former ASOS chair appointed by JD Sports

Former chair and senior independent director of ASOS Ian Dyson has been appointed by JD Sports as a non-executive director, joining the audit and risk committee and the remuneration committee.

Dyson has also previously held the roles of senior independent director at Flutter Entertainment and non-executive director of Intercontinental Hotels Group and SSP Group. He has also worked as group finance and operations director of Marks & Spencer, chief executive of Punch Taverns, and group finance director of Rank Group.

Dyson is currently also the chair of the board at electronics retailer Currys.

Andrew Higginson, chair of JD Sports, said: “[Dyson] brings a wealth of relevant experience and insight to our deliberations. The appointment of Ian is further progress towards strengthening the Board’s broader private limited company experience base.”
