Games Workshop: “Healthy growth” sees trading ahead of expectations

15th September 2023 | Jack Oliver

Games Workshop has seen its revenue and profits exceed expectations as it enjoys “healthy growth across all channels”.

The Warhammer brand and stores operator recorded a core revenue of around £121m in the three months to 27 August 2023. This was ahead of the same period last year by £15m.

Licensing revenue doubled during the period to £6m, a year-on-year increase of £3m.

Profit before tax at the models and games retailer was also up during the quarter, at an estimated £57m, an increase of £14m compared to the same period in 2022.

The retailer said that while it recognised that performance was better than in 2022, it was aware that it is still early in the financial year.
