H&M’s revamped Regent Street store to include rental service and beauty bar

H&M’s renovated 7,535 sq ft Regent Street store will offer a beauty salon in addition to clothing rentals, marking two firsts for the UK.

According to Retail Week, H&M’s new rental service will supply womenswear and menswear, such as suits, dresses, shoes and accessories. Hire prices will range from £12.99 to £49.99, and customers can view the selection online and schedule appointments to try on in-store.

The store debuted its rental programme in Stockholm in 2019, with hopes to expand it to other significant cities in the coming years.

Chris Clare, head of expansion for H&M UK and Ireland, was reported as saying: “It’s about recognising how stores are now playing a really different role for us than purely a transactional hub – they can experience who the brand is, share our latest campaigns and our sustainability messaging, and amplify what makes the store experience unique.”

This comes after H&M recently reopened its renovated Angel Central store with an increased focus on ‘circular, climate-positive fashion,’ offering a garment collection and recycling service.
