Lingerie ecommerce brand Lounge has opened in Manchester for the first time, marking the retailer’s second foray into the world of physical retail.

Lounge had made its bricks-and-mortar debut with a pop-up store in Covent Garden last December, having launched online in 2015.

The new pop-up at 35 King Street, Manchester, is open from the 4th-12th of February.

The retailer also hosted a number of events to celebrate its launch, bringing students to the store on a double-decker bus decorated in pick-up lines, as well as a women’s only date night.

Melanie Marsden, Lounge co-founder, said: “Testing the pop-up space is a really exciting time for the brand. It’s all about testing the appetite that a high street shopping consumer has for our product, giving them an in-person experience that can in many ways go beyond what they may have felt or experienced through our digital platforms, and most importantly, giving the beauty and premium details of our designs a space to really scream and shout in an in real life space.”

“Underwear is an extremely personal part of a woman’s wardrobe, so giving them a personal experience, the chance to touch and feel the product and find their fit in person is a no-brainer for us.”
