The O2‘s Entertainment District and its outlet shopping centre, Icon Outlet, have hailed a strong period of trading in January and over February half term week (13-19 February).

This follows a successful 2022 for the Waterfront Partnership-owned schemes, a joint venture between AEG and Crosstree Real Estate Partners.

January outlet shopping sales at The O2 were up by 34%, while sales across leisure and food and beverage in the Entertainment District increased like-for-like by 44% against 2022.

February half term week at the destination saw its highest footfall levels so far this year, as the entertainment district recorded a sales increase of 15%, while outlet sales rose by 5%, both on a like-for-like basis against 2022.

Sales in bars jumped by 77% in February half term, while leisure saw a sales increase of 23%, with a number of attractions including TOCA Social, BOOM BATTLE BAR, Oxygen Freejumping, and Mamma Mia! The Party bolstering the offering.

The O2 has a busy year ahead, welcoming comedian Peter Kay once a month while Elton John will be performing at the venue for 10 nights, while iFLY Indoor Skydiving is set to open.

In 2022, The O2 welcomed over 54,000 sq ft of new arrivals, including Superdry, TOG24, and JD Wetherspoon.

KLM and CBRE are the leasing agents for retail at Icon Outlet, while Lunson Mitchenall act on food and beverage leasing.
