PureGym announces new site in Shirley retail park
The 15,000-square-foot large box style gym will open on Tuesday, November 8th and offer fixed pin and free weights, a functional space, group workout studio sessions, and personal trainers.
A spokesperson for PureGym said: “We are thrilled to be opening a brand new club in Solihull at the Sears Retail Park in just over a month. Opening at 12pm on Tuesday 8 th November, this brand new state-of-the-art gym will offer flexible, affordable fitness to the people of Solihull and the surrounding areas.”
Plans for the seven-day-a-week gym were approved back in November 2020, despite some local fears it would be “like having a night club on the doorstep.” Much of the concern centred on noise from “powerful sound systems”, but Solihull councillors were convinced the noise would not be heard outside.
