Rituals has opened its largest UK store at Victoria Square in Belfast, as the scheme welcomes over 40,000 sq ft of new brands in 2023.

The cosmetics retailer has opened a 3,530 sq ft upsized store on the lower floor, adjacent to Ted Baker. The opening also marks the debut of Rituals’ new store concept which will be rolled out nationwide.

Rituals at Victoria Square has also been joined by beauty and make-up brand Sculpted by Aimee, which makes its debut in Northern Ireland. Taking a 1,500 sq ft unit, the store features products and accessories created by the company’s founder, former make-up artist Aimee Connolly.

Over the last 12 months, Victoria Square has welcomed a number of fashion and lifestyle brands for regional debuts and new flagship locations in Northern Ireland. This includes the recent arrivals of The White Company, Sweaty Betty, Gilly Hicks, Goldsmiths, Gym+Coffee, and Lovisa.

The scheme’s food and beverage offering has also been bolstered during the last year, with a refurbished Frankie & Benny’s and a new Slim Chickens flagship restaurant joining existing tenants including Wagamama, Five Guys, and Burger King.

Russell Banham, UK head at asset manager Commerz Real, said: “We are delighted with the sheer number of established brands selecting Victoria Square for regional debuts, flagship locations and upsizes which demonstrates its importance as the leading destination for retail,  and leisure in Belfast and Northern Ireland.”

Lambert Smith Hampton and Savills act as joint agents for Victoria Square. The scheme is managed by the Lambert Smith Hampton’s Belfast office.  Savills acted on behalf of Rituals and Shiells & Co represented Sculpted By Aimee.
