Casual Fitters has opened its third store in London at Merchant House on Fitzrovia’s Charlotte Street.

The tailor was launched by Australian Julian Lloyd-Jones five years ago, opening its first store in Spitalfields before taking on a second site on Fleet Street.

Merchant House was redeveloped by property development and investment firm Merchant Land following its acquisition of three adjacent buildings. The developer created ground floor commercial space for retailers underneath eight new apartments, whilst retaining the original Victorian façade.

Julian Lloyd-Jones, chief executive officer of Casual Fitters, said: “Merchant House is the ideal location for our third store – Charlotte Street is a prestigious address that fits well with our brand and allows us to expand our client base further. We’ve seen strong growth during the last 12 months, underpinned by quality, craftmanship and our focus on making bespoke tailoring less daunting. Charlotte Street provides space to service growing demand in one of London’s most vibrant districts.”

Katherine McCullough, managing director of Merchant Land, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Casual Fitters to Merchant House – it’s fantastic news for the growing brand and we’ve no doubt Merchant House will prove a successful location for Julian and his team as it continues to expand.”
