Swedish bakery debuts café concept on the King’s Road
Swedish artisanal bakery brand Fabrique has debuted its new café concept at Designer Guild’s flagship retail store at 267-277 King’s Road, part of the Sloane Stanley estate.
The café concession space delivers Fabrique’s menu of artisanal sourdough, pastries, Swedish buns, and coffee, whilst customers will also be able to shop Designers Guild’s offering of furnishing fabrics, wall coverings, upholstery, and bed and bath collections.
Founded in 2008, Fabrique currently operates across London, Stockholm, and New York. Its new home, Designers Guild, has been a resident of the King’s Road for over five decades.
Hannah Grievson, property Director at Sloane Stanley, said: “Designers Guild is very much a cornerstone to the Sloane Stanley Estate, and with a legacy of over 53 years on the King’s Road, we’re pleased to add another alternative element to its proposition. Fabrique’s core values of authenticity and genuineness mirror and complement the wider Estate and it will appeal to a broad selection of our demographic. We are delighted the successful bakery concept, which is known and loved by many, chose the King’s Road for this concept and what opportunities this will bring to the wider community.”
This news follows the recent opening of Il Porticciolo on the King’s Road, which launched a 1,077 sq ft, two-storey boutique, showcasing the brand’s range of childrenswear.
