TFG London to open largest-ever flagship store at Liverpool ONE

Fashion retail group TFG London is set to open its largest-ever store at Liverpool ONE.

The group – which owns fashion brands Hobbs, Phase Eight, and Whistles, as well as homeware retailer Inside Story – will open a 12,000 sq ft store on South John Street next spring.

The flagship store will see a return of all four TFG brands to Liverpool as well as their full collections. This includes Hobbs’ selection of luxury fashion, Phase Eight’s occasionwear ranges, and Whistles’ line-up of contemporary womenswear. It will also feature an Inside Story homewares department, offering soft furnishings and home accessories.

Caraline Money, global retail director of TFG, said: “We are thrilled to be returning to Liverpool with our new multi-site flagship store which will house Hobbs, Whistles, Phase Eight and Inside Story all under one roof. Our new store strategy is focused on opening bigger and better stores in prominent shopping destinations like Liverpool where we have built a loyal ever-growing customer base. The new store will enable us to showcase our full collection such as petites and bridal, offering our customers the complete head-to-toe outfit suggestions for every occasion in our beautiful, enhanced store environment.”

The signing of TFG London at Liverpool ONE is the latest in a series of brand investments into South John Street. This includes from fashion retailer Zara, which unveiled the first phase of its upsized store earlier this month. The full 42,000 sq ft store is set to launch this December.

Rob Deacon, director of asset management at Grosvenor, added: “TFG London is another step in South John Street’s evolution, reflecting our strategy of securing new brands and upsizing existing retailers to add to its ‘best of the high street’ mix.  Making their return to the city for the first time in five years, we’re excited to welcome Phase Eight, Hobbs, Whistles and Inside Story’s complete fashion and homewares offer, complementing our existing line-up of top retail brands.”

The news also follows the opening of Montirex’s first-ever bricks-and-mortar store. The technical outdoor and sportswear brand is also located on South John Street, offering its collection of sportswear and outdoor wear across 3,000 sq ft.
