Property developer Ballymore has announced the signing of restaurant and deli concepts, Sam’s Waterside and Sam’s Larder, to its mixed-use development site The Brentford Project.

Sam Harrison, director of Genuine Restaurants, will launch the 4,000 sq ft Sam’s Waterside brasserie in July 2023 by the River Brent, while gourmet deli Sam’s Larder will take a 850 sq ft space opposite.

Genuine Restaurants already runs Sam’s Riverside and Sam’s Larder concepts in Hammersmith, while another Sam’s Larder recently opened in Turnham Green Terrace, Chiswick.

The Brentford Project is a 1.2m sq ft development aiming to transform 11.8 acres along the southern half of Brentford’s High Street to establish a new riverside community. As well as building 876 homes, the project aims to bring a mix of dining, entertainment, shopping and leisure.

Richard Pearce, senior development manager at Ballymore, said: “The fact that these independent brands […] have chosen Brentford above other parts of London is a great endorsement of what we are creating.  Life has shifted over the past few years and Brentford is leading a new wave of developments that provide a complete package – offering a balance of residential, leisure, retail and workspaces for everyone.”

Shackleton Property acted on behalf of Ballymore, and Genuine Restaurants Ltd dealt directly for Sam’s Waterside and Sam’s Larder.
