Canary Wharf appoints retail and hospitality director

Canary Wharf Group (CWG) has appointed Leanne Catterall as director of retail and hospitality leasing.

She joins from The Crown Estate, where she worked as director of retail and hospitality leasing across its London and regional portfolios.

Prior to her time at The Crown Estate, Catterall co-directed a restaurant-focused team at CBRE within its Central London advisory team. During this period, she was selected for the Bisnow ‘Women Leading Real Estate’ list in 2021.

She is also one of the co-creators of the ‘Retail is Dead’ podcast series, which explores positive stories within the retail and hospitality industry.

Stuart Fyfe, managing director of retail, leisure and hospitality at CWG said, “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Leanne to the team. Last year saw a record 54m visitors to the Canary Wharf estate, which is expected to see over 65m visitors by the end of 2023. High-profile openings in the past 12 months include Boggi Milano, Russell & Bromley, Blacklock, Mallow, Padium, and Aesop.
