Manchester Arndale serves up Lazy Sundae

Manchester Arndale has announced that local dessert shop, Lazy Sundae, will be opening its second location in the city at the scheme.

The ice cream parlour has agreed to take a 1,305 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease, joining other food and beverage offerings at the shopping centre including Creams, Slim Chickens, Kokoro, Jamaica Blue, Tim Hortons, and Pizza Luxe.

Lazy Sundae opened its first outlet in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and offers customers a menu including bubble tea, soufflé pancakes and ice creams.

Scott Linard, portfolio director at M&G Real Estate, said: “With such exciting leasing activity taking place, including recent retail lettings to MINISO, Gilly Hicks and Clarks, its clear operators across the board have long-term confidence in the centre. As we move into the new year, we hope to continue this bumper run”.

A spokesperson for Lazy Sundae added that the site will form the flagship store for the brand as part of its nationwide expansion plans.
